The Comp v1 has been designed solely with performance in mind. Function over form. I took dimensions that were more community-approved than my other knives made a few prototypes. Sent it on a pass around and gathered some more input and made a few adjustments.
I was also trying to hit a lower price point. Any features that did not add to the functionality/performance, while keeping to the price point... was not considered. Also, the fit was prioritized over the finish. However, I am continuously making minor changes in my process to improve the finish end of the process. Build for show... Finish for dough... and I'm trying to hit that price point.
